An avid reader, I aspired to write a book. I attended classes, joined a couple writer groups, and attended conferences. Above all, I soaked up every ounce of knowledge to learn the craft. Finally, I plotted material to fuel a page-turner, and most importantly, hope to do it justice. The journey to write a book has begun…

Peter the Turtle

Because of Peter the Turtle, I am now a published author of my own children’s book.

On his adventure, Peter discovers treasures on the beach. Little does he know how harmful litter is to a turtle. Alone on his journey, he gets stuck on the shore and has tummy troubles. Who will come to his rescue?

Will he be able to poop?

While laughing, children will learn the importance of friendship, healthy eating, and putting litter in a bin.

So goes the journey... Short and Sweet Volume 8

Short and Sweet:

My most humiliating and therefore, most embarrassing moment was chosen to be published in this book (purchase here). In fact, it involves waxing my legs.

Featuring 43 funny, yet traumatic short stories, it is a work of love with all proceeds subsequently benefiting World Christian Broadcasting.

In addition, this book is doubly special to me. I offered to design the cover and was certainly honored to have it chosen for print by Editor, Susan Cheeves King. The challenge was to showcase “8” since it’s the eighth book in the series.

Moreover, the story I submitted introduces you to a fun and loving woman, my granny.

I’m grateful to have won 2nd place in the 2019 Bess Streeter Aldrich Short Story Contest

My husband and I attended the annual reception in Elmwood, Nebraska. The lovely home, turned museum, is certainly a delightful tribute to one of Nebraska’s finest writers, Bess Streeter.

And So Goes the Journey

I live in Nebraska and love traveling the world,
while capturing moments of time and beauty.
*A photograph is a memory captured by the heart*

Crafting, camping, and volunteer work are close to my heart, right after family and friends.

Our fur babies, Annie & Dawson (dogs) and Snickers (bunny) bring almost as much joy as our grandchildren, Chase, Hadley, and Oakley. Chase and I are working on a children’s book. So far, we have the character, his name, and problem. In the meantime, we are working on illustrations!
