Review of The Partisan
I’ve been into historical fiction lately and chose this Cold War thriller for some action-packed adventure. I found the timeline a bit confusing – jumping back and forth between time periods. While I understand what the author was trying to do, by the time I got reacquainted with the story, it was time to switch again. Maybe it was a slow brain time for me? If you’re into spy game reads, this might just be the perfect book for you, one with dire consequences!
About the Author
Patrick Worrall was educated in Worcestershire and King’s College, Cambridge. He has worked as a teacher in eastern Europe and Asia, a newspaper journalist, a court reporter at the Old Bailey and the head of Channel 4 News’s FactCheck blog. The Partisan is his first novel.
