Review for Always and Forever

This book is one big tangle of heartbreak, history, and human messiness. Loss seems to cling to these families like a shadow, much of it avoidable and rooted in choices made long ago. Those past mistakes hang heavy over Jay and Suzanne, threatening whatever spark they might have in the present.

But here’s the thing: even when their actions make you want to yell, the characters are written with such empathy and depth that you can’t help but understand them. Bit by bit, their layers peel back, and suddenly you’re feeling all the feelings right along with them.

The writing is lyrical, the characters are beautifully flawed, and the storyline is gripping enough that putting the book down feels like a personal challenge. A heartfelt, immersive read that sneaks up on you with compassion.

About The Author

In addition to her latest novels, Always and Forever and Charmed, Lorraine Zago Rosenthal is the author of Other Words for Love, published by Random House (Delacorte Press), New Money, and Independently Wealthy, both published by Macmillan (St. Martin’s Press).

Lorraine was born and raised in New York City, and she is a graduate of the University of South Florida. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degrees in education and English. She currently lives near Cincinnati, Ohio, with her husband.
