The 8th book in the award-winning Alycat Series!

“Science doesn’t freak meowt!” Alycat is excited that it’s Science Fair Day, but why is her classmate copying almost everything about her, from the shirt she’s wearing to the project she’s doing? Soon Alycat learns, through patience and kindness, that two similar things can be better when they work together. This latest addition to the kitten picture-book series includes STEM themes; plus instructions for making your own glitter volcano.

Book Blurb

“Bourque’s storytelling shines as she delves into the nuances of Alycat’s emotions, skillfully portraying the internal struggle between annoyance and empathy. She weaves important lessons about assumptions, kindness, and the value of giving others the benefit of the doubt into an engaging narrative.” ―The Children’s Book Review

Review for Alycat and the Copycat

Packed with puns and fun, this story showcases compassion. At the Science Fair, Lucy has the copycat version of Alycat’s volcano, upsetting her. Oh no! Just when it looks hopeless, we get another twist. This is an excellent story of how a little understanding can go a long way and compassion is the heart of friendship. With fantastic illustrations and a valuable life lesson, this is a story for the books!
