Obedience class is hard. Especially if you don’t do things like the other dogs. Phebe’s flair for drama isn’t appreciated by her classmates, and when Rae says, “Come!” she stays. When she says “Stay!” she comes.
Seeing the world a little differently than everyone else makes it easy to be misunderstood. Rae wants Phebe to fall into line, but Phebe can’t help but be herself.
Will Phebe ever learn to be a perfect pup?
Review of How to Be Best in Class
This paws-itively delightful story had me wagging my tail from start to finish! The illustrations are fetching—full of charm, detail, and personality—and the message is simply paw-some. Through Phebe’s playful antics, we’re reminded that being a little “ruff” around the edges isn’t a flaw, it’s what makes us special. From not quite getting it to finding her own way, Phebe proves there’s more than one way to solve a problem. It’s a tail-wagging celebration of staying true to yourself—because love doesn’t demand paw-fection!
I received a copy of this ARC ebook to share my opinion.
