Review of Rescue Clickity Clack

If your kid is even a little obsessed with ocean life, like we are, this one’s a win. From sea turtles to starfish, the story is packed with colorful underwater friends while still keeping things simple and fun. It follows a sweet little crab who gets lost and just wants to find his way home—cue a gentle, interactive adventure that pulls readers right into the journey. The rhyming text flows nicely, and the bright illustrations really pop. Bonus points for the fact section at the end, which adds a little more learning without slowing things down. Loved it!

Debra Pehrson Haun is the author and illustrator of TWITCH, her award-winning debut picture book. She was not always a strong swimmer, but after taking and graduating from her adult Super Chicken swimming lessons, she now enjoys and loves riding the waves.
