Review for The Murderer’s Girl

This one has all the ingredients I fall for—an old double murder, a small town full of quirks, and a dual-timeline setup that is right up my alley. Fifteen years after two best friends were killed, the case gets dragged back into the spotlight when new evidence suggests the wrong person might’ve been convicted. Cue the arrival of a hungry podcaster hoping to make a name for themself and a detective who refuses to let the past stay buried. Together, they start poking at long-held secrets… which naturally puts giant targets on their backs since the real killer is still out there.

The premise is juicy, and the mystery has some great twists, but parts of the story felt a bit stretched out for me. Still, if you enjoy small-town suspense, podcast-driven sleuthing, and dual timelines, there’s plenty here to keep you guessing.

About The Author
