The quirky writing made this a fun and heartwarming story. That and the dancing donkey! It is easily relatable, focusing on empathy and overcoming adversity, morals that help children to grow into mentally healthy adults. Sprinkled with scripture, the basis is present for spiritual growth. Most commendable was when she prayed over the challenges she faced. Adorable illustrations have been added throughout the book to help drive the story. The only thing that has me scratching my head is why the main character is the only child who is named.
