With the holidays coming up, who could pass up this book cover? Not me, but I’m a self proclaimed book cover snob.

The main character (Kate) is stuck in a rut and looking for a way out. If the holidays aren’t already stressful enough, Kate’s life is spiraling out of control. When the opportunity to fulfill her dream of being a photographer comes along, reality sets in. How can she manage along with all the hats she’s juggling? Does this sound familiar? Being a wife and mother, a sister, daughter, and friend is a full time job. The biggest message I got from the book is it’s okay, and even normal, to feel overwhelmed. Kate is such a relatable character, written with raw emotions and real feelings, you can’t help but love her. Topics include marriage, children, and work struggles. While being true to yourself, love and forgiveness is at the core. It’s not your typical Christmas story but it’s a timeless one, no doubt.

About The Author

Lisa typically tell stories about women navigating friendships, careers, romance, and ultimately triumphing over adversity. With several novels under her name (Lisa Heidke), her seventh novel, Lily’s Little Flower Shop was published by Bloodhound Books UK in 2021 under pen name Lisa Darcy. It has since been published in France and Italy as well.
