This heartwarming gem snuck up on me and wrapped itself around my soul. Told from three distinct points of view—including Lucas, a non-verbal teen with autism—this beautifully written story offers a raw, honest, and ultimately uplifting look at love, sacrifice, and what it truly means to find “home.”

As a former Special Populations Director, this hit especially close to home. The author clearly did the homework, especially with Lucas’ perspective—his inner world is portrayed with such care and authenticity that it made me both smile and tear up more than once. Olivia’s journey, stepping up for her brother in ways she never expected, is touching and messy and real. And the relationship between Olivia and Nate? Frustrating, sweet, and totally believable.

This book tugged all the heartstrings—family, forgiveness, resilience—and gave me a happily ever after I didn’t know I needed. It’s one of those stories that sticks with you long after the last page. Highly recommend.
