I’m a graphic novel lover and this book hits the mark head on. I love the positive female main character, Lupe, and her growth throughout the story. Though there are monsters and it’s quite a fictional story, the topic of mental illness is spotlighted through loneliness and dogging on yourself. Of course it was full of adventure, danger, and action too. It’s quite the fictional story of the nonfictional pandemic times we live in today. It should be well received by graphic novel lovers.
About the Author
Dennis Hopeless is a Harvey Award-winning writer from Kansas City, MO best known for Marvel titles such as X-Men, Avengers, Spider-woman, and Captain America. Hopeless has also written for DC Comics, Image Comics, BOOM! Studios, and is the writer and co-creator of HEART EYES for Vault Comics.
