Review for Shipwrecked

Let’s talk about that cover – I fell in love with it’s pearly sheen and wonderful artwork. I definitely judge a book by its cover and had no doubt this was going to be a great book.

Starting on book 3 of the series, I will surely go back and read the first two. Thankfully, Shipwrecked can be read as a standalone and could follow along just fine. I enjoyed following the characters on their adventures – perfect for either girls or boys. The authors did a fantastic job of making me feel like I was in the story and taking part in the adventures. The themes of family, friendship, teamwork, and acceptance are wonderful. The environment and animal facts sprinkled throughout the story make a nice bonus. Recommended.

About The Authors

Mary Alice Monroe is the New York Times bestselling author of nearly thirty books, including the bestselling The Beach House series. Angela May is the founder of May Media and PR and a former award-winning television news journalist who helps promote great books and share important community stories as a media specialist. She has been working with Mary Alice Monroe for more than a decade. The Islanders series are their first books together! Angela’s husband is a retired teacher and middle school assistant principal. They have two children and live in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
