If she doesn’t pursue her theory and dates Alex, she will lose her BFF. But curious Maddie can’t resist a mister. Unfortunately, clever Maddie misses obvious clues and trusts the wrong people, leading to potential life-threatening disaster.

What a great middle-grade read! Maddie’s life is a disaster -eighth grade is not going great, her best friend is hanging out with other people and has decided to be boy-crazy. Can it get any worse? Of course it can! Maddie was caught breaking into the neighbor’s house. When the new neighbors move in, things really ramp up! Let the fun begin. For lovers of great imagination, shenanigans, and solving mysteries! You’ll love this one.

About The Author

My passion is to create, inspired by a wealth of diverse experiences. I’ve enjoyed many roles, from childhood TV commercials to high school and college plays and musicals. A Duke University and UPenn Carey Law School graduate, I thrived as Editor-in- Chief of the school newspaper and yearbook. As a litigation attorney, I loved crafting persuasive stories from complex cases.

After moving to Bermuda with my husband and baby, I paused my legal career but continued creating through food art, graphic design, and writing. Back in the States, I found joy in sharing worlds through my writing, including ‘The Neighbors’ Secret,’ a middle-grade mystery novel and Tassy Walden Finalist in 2023. I also co-authored the musical ‘Virtually Yours.’ I cherish traveling, playing sports, and, most of all, spending time with my beloved family. For the past 18 years, I’ve enjoyed living with my husband in Fairfield County, Connecticut.
