Review for The Wicked Ones
I grew up with Cinderella, like most young girls, and despised the rotten and wicked stepsisters! This book proves the point that there is always two sides to every story. My dislike of the duo has now been replaced for pity, compassion, and mercy. The mother is the Wicked One without a doubt. All the cheering for the girls turns on a dime when the bottom falls out of their dreams. I don’t want to give too much away but if you know anything about Cinderella, you will love this book!
About the Author
Robin Benway is a National Book Award-winning and New York Times-bestselling author of eight novels for young adults, including Far From the Tree, Audrey, Wait!, the AKA series, and Emmy & Oliver. Robin grew up in Orange County, California, attended NYU, where she was a recipient of the Seth Barkas Prize for Creative Writing, and is a graduate of UCLA. She currently lives in Los Angeles with her dog, Hudson.
