My Thoughts
What starts out with a carload of Burn Outs, Rejects, and Lost Causes going door to door to raise money for the volunteer fire department, ends up in hot legal trouble for the scam. Next, they find themselves in the company of a monster hunter, so of course, the monsters are seen everywhere and need to be dealt with.
The characters are among the most relatable people I’ve seen in a graphic novel. I would like to know a little more about their backgrounds to explain certain aspects, such as the cut marks. The believable settings are portrayed with fantastic illustrations (I’m not counting the monster scenes as believable, but hey, they could be real, right?) The pace of the story kept me from losing interest and clipped along at a nice rate. Overall, this is a favorite graphic novel of mine, only to be made better if they became ghost hunters at night!

Sally Cantirino is a comic artist and illustrator currently based in New Jersey. She has been self-publishing comics and zines since she was a teenager. Her recent comics work includes I Walk With Monsters and Human Remains for Vault Comics, “The Final Girls”, “Last Song”, and “We Have To Go Back”. She has also done artwork for World Champ Game Co and bands like La Dispute and Murder By Death.
